The idea behind using curtains and blinds together is that they cover the window from the top down, so if you need total privacy you can pull the curtains down completely while if you prefer a softer experience then you can leave them up. For example, if you are trying to block out sunlight in the winter then simply pulling the blinds down can be enough to give you the required effect.

You can then use the folded drapes or curtains to keep the elements out and allow for a comfortable indoor experience whenever you wish.

You can either use vertical patterns such as curtains on the top half of the window and vertical blinds on the bottom half or you can go for horizontal patterns such as horizontal blinds on the window and horizontal drapes or curtains on the wall on either side. Alternatively, you can use the same type of drapes or curtains but with different lengths. In fact, you can easily create a 3D effect by using horizontal blinds on the wall and then using vertical patterns on the top half of the window.

For example, if you have light coming through one side of the window but not the other, you can open up this one side until the light comes in through the other. This makes the light flow more like a curtain rather than direct sunlight. Of course, you can always open the slats completely if you wish.

Another way you can use Curtains and Blinds to add a different perspective to your rooms is to use a different color for each room. For example, if your bedroom is painted a dark color such as brown, you can add a lighter tone to it by painting one side of the room a much lighter color, such as a pale blue. In the living room, you can add shades of green and light blue. Of course, you can use just about any color you like for the windows except black, because black will absorb a lot of light.

Taking advantage :

There are also ways in which you can use curtains and blinds to add a different perspective to your rooms without changing the actual colors on the walls. For example, if you have two windows in a room, you can put a sheer panel across the bottom window but have vertical blinds on the other windows. You can also do this on a slatted panel above the sofa in your living room. This will create an illusion of a larger space. If your dining room is framed in glass, you can use black curtains on the upper part of the windows and put vertical blinds on the lower half of the windows. By doing this, you will be taking advantage of both the strength and the width of curtains and blinds.
